Figure 9. The position of the Cody Scarp (seen in Figure 8). The amount of sedimentary overburden over the limestone increases inland. The majority of karst features (springs, caves, etc) occur in the Gulf Coastal Lowlands, where there is only a thin veneer of sand above the Ocala Limestone.
