EENY148: Tree Snails (of Florida), Drymaeus, Orthalicus, Liguus spp. (Gastropoda: Bulimulidae)
Figure 5. The markings of the "Manatee snail," Drymaeus dormani (Binney) can be faint to lacking in some specimens. This species is endemic to north and central Florida north of Lake Okeechobee, and has been reported on palmetto, orange and grapefruit trees (Pilsbry 1946).
