WEC260: Florida's Introduced Birds: House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)

Figure 6. Carolina Wrens (Thryothorus ludovicianus) are found throughout much of the eastern United States and are easily confused with female House sparrows. However, Carolina Wrens have a much more distinct light stripe above and behind their eyes and lack the black streaking on their backs.
