Figure 3. a) A pollen isolation bag placed over female flowers before they become receptive protects them from being wind pollinated with unwanted pollen. b) Once the female flowers are receptive, pollen from a plus-tree clone is injected into the isolation bag containing female flowers of another plus-tree clone. Pollination occurs, and full-sib seed is produced.
