Living Shorelines

Traditional seawalls and bulkheads are expensive and can drastically disrupt coastal and estuarine ecosystems. Living shorelines can be a cost-effective alternative that use restored saltmarsh and oyster reefs to protect coastal land from erosion while providing habitat and improving water quality.
